Air Freight
Fast and reliable air freight solutions for urgent, valuable and time-sensitive cargo from the United States to Tanzania and other supported destinations.
What is Air Freight?
Air freight is the transportation of cargo by aircraft and is designed for shipments where speed, reliability and shorter transit times are important. It is especially useful for urgent, valuable, time-sensitive or relatively lightweight cargo.
Afro-Go coordinates your shipment from cargo receiving and preparation through airline booking, export handling, air transportation and destination handoff. Cargo is reviewed for airline requirements, documentation, security screening and applicable customs procedures before transportation.
Best suited for
Urgent & Time-Sensitive Shipments
Air freight is a good transportation option when speed and shorter transit times are important, particularly for urgent, valuable or time-sensitive cargo.
The Shipping Process
How Air Freight Works

Tell us what you are shipping, the quantity, weight, dimensions, origin and destination. Afro-Go reviews the information and prepares your air freight quote.
Cargo Receiving
Your cargo is received or collected and matched to your shipment. Packages are identified, counted, weighed and recorded.
Inspection & Air Cargo Preparation
Cargo is checked for airline requirements, packaging, dimensions, weight, restricted items and applicable security screening requirements.
Airline Booking & Export Handling
Afro-Go coordinates the airline booking and required export documentation before the cargo is prepared for airline acceptance.
Air Transportation
The shipment is accepted by the airline and transported toward the destination according to the confirmed flight routing and schedule.
Arrival & Handoff
After arrival, the shipment proceeds through applicable destination clearance and release procedures before pickup or final delivery arrangements.
Cargo Options

- ✓ Urgent documents and business materials

Consolidation
Consolidated Air Cargo
Customers with smaller air freight shipments may be able to ship cargo as part of a consolidated air shipment. Eligible shipments are grouped for transportation while each customer's cargo remains individually identified and documented.
Consolidation may provide a cost-effective air freight option for eligible cargo. Afro-Go reviews shipment size, weight, dimensions, routing and timing requirements before recommending the appropriate air freight arrangement.
Important Information
Transit Times
Air freight transit times can vary based on airline schedules, flight routing, cargo availability, airline acceptance, security screening, customs processing and other transportation conditions.
Restricted & Prohibited Cargo
Some commodities are restricted, regulated or prohibited for air transportation. Customers should accurately declare their cargo so Afro-Go can review applicable airline, security and regulatory requirements before the shipment is accepted for transportation.
Documentation
Air freight documentation requirements depend on the cargo, airline, routing and destination. Required documents may include commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybill information and other export or customs documentation applicable to the shipment.
Tracking Updates
Afro-Go provides shipment status information as cargo moves through the applicable stages of the transportation process.
